RESOURCES ON CAMPUS

With the end of the semester coming to an end, this is the time to put forth the most effort as a scholarship chair and a student. Most of the time professors will weigh final exams or papers heavy on the class grade. There are resources on campus to help the university students in any class they are having trouble with thus far.

Research your campus. Get to know each major and department and what they have to offer with help. Campuses have academic centers to help with writing papers and giving workshops on studying. There are career centers to help students decide if they are in the right major for their career. Many universities have specific tutoring in departments on campus such as math, language, English, science, technology, etc.

A secret place to get help on campus for science or math related subjects are the engineering students. They understand the classes that are most difficult and usually can offer a different way of looking at them.

Don’t be afraid to utilize your professors by scheduling a meeting with them. It goes a long way with your professors.

Ask your sisters for help. Reach out to those who you know are capable of making a good grade in that class. It is better to ask for the help now then have to retake a class because pride got in the way. Everyone needs help in at least one class or subject. Knowing your weakness is a great way to start. How you come out of the class will depend on what you do with your weakness. Choose to strengthen it where you can be there for others when they need the help.
