Funding Priorities

We Believe Our Foundation has meticulously researched and planned for financial needs that fund member-preferred growth and improvements necessary for our providing for the future of the Sorority. These resources will help fund critical programs to benefit our sisters and endow leadership and scholarship programs that will help us meet needs for generations to come. Currently, our initial estimate of necessary capital to fund our strategic vision is no less than $10 million over the next five years for these programs and endowment needs. Specifically our priorities are:

Programming & Educational Endowments

Signature Leadership Program (Adelphean Compass)

Adelphean Compass is a multi-faceted leadership program targeted to current chapter presidents and alumnae volunteers. The goal of the program is to provide and enhance lifelong leadership skills that can be applied in the chapter experience in addition to personal and professional situations beyond the collegiate years. The Sorority envisions a four-phase curriculum to be designed and developed for sequential delivery at Leadership Seminar, during District Leadership Conferences, through chapter officer transitions, and with an immersion program for chapters needing additional support.

Initial Endowment Need: $1 million

Emerging Leaders Program (IMPACT Alpha Delta Pi)

IMPACT Alpha Delta Pi is a program designed for emerging chapter leaders. The Sorority strives to provide a values-based educational program that is taught in conjunction with the Creed of Alpha Delta Pi and focuses on six key areas: Influence, Motivation, Purpose, Action, Community, and Trust. Over the last 10 years, this program has resulted in 76 percent of attendees going on to hold offices in their chapter or with their campus Panhellenic. In addition, a high number of IMPACT graduates go on to be Leadership Consultants for Alpha Delta Pi.

Initial Endowment Need: $750,000

Leadership Consultant Program

The consultant program was started in 1933 as a way to expand the Sorority’s reach to assist more chapters. Since the development of the program, more than 250 young women have been selected to serve as Leadership Consultants for the Sorority. Each year, Leadership Consultants visit active chapters of Alpha Delta Pi to offer training for collegiate chapter members, advisors, house corporations and local alumnae in the areas of education, leadership development, scholarship, and philanthropy.

Initial Endowment Need: $750,000

Special Topics Programming

The District Leadership Conference is an integral part of new chapter officer leadership development. Leadership programming as part of this educational experience is an essential step in achieving the overarching goal of the sorority to improve the member experience for current undergraduates. This programming is designed specifically for women and emphasizes a focus on personal and professional development, while also seeking to address chapter management, development and improvement, as well as to address topics important in today’s collegiate environment. The program is designed to have a direct impact on the overall culture of our chapters and sisterhood by exposing participants to topics that are relevant to issues being faced by our collegiate members.

Initial Endowment Need: $500,000

Heritage Endowment

The Alpha Delta Pi Foundation funds The Adelphean Room located in The Cannonball House in Macon, Georgia where many artifacts relating to the history of Alpha Delta Pi are preserved, and the Rose Hill gravesite of our founder, Eugenia Tucker Fitzgerald. This permanent endowment will provide funding for both The Adelphean Room and Rose Hill Cemetery, and would provide for future plans to expand the history and heritage collections located at Memorial Headquarters and updates associated with the online archives.

Initial Endowment Need: $500,000

Grant and Scholarship Endowments

  • Clapsed Hands Fund Emergency Grant for Alumnae
  • Abigail Davis Emergency Grant Fund for Collegiate Members
  • Chapter scholarships ($25,000 endowed scholarship or $25,000 leadership endowment for each chapter)

Initial Endowment Need: $1.5 million

Ongoing Support
